Laser engraving and marking on metal
Permanent marks that do not fade, peel or wash off. Logos, serial numbers, name plates, dials, scales and QR codes marked on stainless steel, anodised aluminium and brass, in-house in Odhav.

Laser printing on metal, properly called marking
Many customers ask for laser printing on steel or aluminium. The process is laser marking: the fiber laser heats the surface to leave a permanent dark mark, or removes a thin layer for an engraved line. Nothing is printed on top, so there is no ink to fade and no sticker to peel. It survives oil, heat, washing and outdoor use.
What we mark
- Machine name plates with model, serial, rating and manufacturer details, on SS or anodised aluminium, with holes or adhesive backing.
- Serial numbers and batch codes on parts, with sequential numbering handled by the software.
- QR codes and barcodes for traceability, scannable straight off the metal.
- Logos and branding on products, panels, gift items and tools.
- Scales, dials and control panel legends with crisp text down to 1 mm high.
- Decor engraving such as mandalas, names and messages on plates, pens and gifts.

Materials
Stainless steel 304 and 316 mark dark grey to black. Anodised aluminium marks a deep black with high contrast. Brass and copper engrave cleanly. Mild steel can be marked but is usually painted first; plain aluminium gives a light grey mark. Coated and painted surfaces can be laser-stripped to show the metal underneath, which is how two-tone panels and legends are made.
Cut and mark in one visit
Because the cutting and marking are both in-house, a name plate can be cut to size, its holes added and its text marked without going anywhere else. The same applies to panel legends and branded parts. See name plates and signage and sheet metal cutting.

Frequently asked
Is laser marking permanent?
Yes. The mark is in the metal itself, not on it. It does not fade in sunlight, wash off, or peel like printing, stickers or paint.
Can you mark my company logo?
Yes. Send the logo as a vector file (AI, SVG, PDF or DXF). A high-resolution PNG or JPG works for most logos too.
Do you supply the name plates or do I send them?
Both. We cut SS or aluminium plates to your size with holes, then mark them. You can also send your own plates or finished products for marking.
What is the minimum quantity for engraving?
One piece. Serial-numbered batches and bulk orders are priced per piece and drop with quantity.
